Compared with all-steel large formwork, engineering plastic formwork has significant advantages:

1. The weight of the large plastic formwork is light, about 28.5kg per m2, and the weight of the all-steel large formwork is about 125kg per m2, which is 4.4 times that of the plastic formwork. Therefore, the plastic formwork assembly is flexible, light, and can be assembled and disassembled without lifting equipment.

2. The surface of the plastic formwork is smooth, easy to demould, and has good corrosion resistance. There is no need to brush the release agent and anti-corrosion treatment in use. After the concrete is poured, it can still be demolded freely after the specified demoulding time. The surface of the large steel mold must be treated with anti-corrosion, and the board surface must be cleaned and the mold release agent must be brushed every time it is used.

3. The weight per unit area of the plastic large formwork is 4.4 times lighter than that of the all-steel large formwork, and the price per unit area is lower than that of the all-steel large formwork. In addition, the transportation cost, loading and unloading labor cost, and occupancy cost of lifting equipment are all lower than the large steel mold, so the plastic large formwork has a good economic effect.

Large plastic formwork has been used in some construction projects and achieved good results. However, the large template has not been widely promoted and applied. The main reason is the lack of funds. The company leaders have negotiated with many Chinese and foreign investment bosses, but they have not reached a conclusion.
